- Rosamund
Grant was born in Guyana, South America, and has been living in England
since 1961. Specialising
in Caribbean and African cooker, she has travelled extensively to West
Africa, the Caribbean and Europe.

- Restaurateur
- Rosamund was
founder, co-owner and chef of Bambaya’s Restaurant, in London from
1984 to 1992. The
restaurant was a trend-setting, popular restaurant in fashionable Crouch
End, on the site which is presently Barbella’s.
The establishment presented traditional and creative cuisine from
Caribbean, Africa, North, South and Latin America.
Bambaya inspired other restaurants that followed in the 90’s
and raised the profile of Caribbean Cuisine in Britain.

- Caterer
- Rosamund has
been a freelance caterer for twenty five years – catering for small
and large functions, eg. Prince’s after-concert parties for Island
Records. She is
experienced in catering for all types of functions from private through
to large international festivals.

and Radio
- A variety of
work has been undertaken for television and radio, in Great Britain and
the Caribbean – BBC TV magazine programmes, eg.
- Bazaar,
Ebony, ‘Hot Chefs’ for a two-week series with accompanying book;
- Carlton
Food Network, Celebrity Chef with presenter – Floella Benjamin on
Carlton Food Network 2000.
- Numerous
radio programmes, covering international, national and regional
broadcasts. Eg Woman’s
Hour, BBC World Service.
