Businesses to discuss the setting up of a Caribbean Food and Drink
Business Association.
- The Mail on Sunday contacts Caribbean Food Emporium
regarding a feature they will be doing on Caribbean Food on either the
16th or 23rd May. Tom Parker Bowles has
recently returned from Antigua, and has written an article about the
food he experienced.
- The website for Caribbean Food Emporium is featured
in the In-flight magazine for Air Jamaica.
- Meeting held with Peter Richards at Westminster
Kingsway College. Facilities viewed.

- Space booked for 14 Caribbean Food and Drink

course tutor at Morley College.
- Two Focus groups for Caribbean Restaurateurs and Take
Away Proprietors are held with Business Link. 16 page

- Meeting held with Vernon Barrett and Rowena Coe from
Business Link for London Knowledge Centre.

- Meeting held with Dianne Edwards Gleede and Marcya
Grant at the Jamaican High Commission
- Proposals put forward for Focus Groups, and

November 2002

- Garfiled contacts CFE, and send information
about his achievements in Caribbean Food since winning Sainsbury
competition.
- The restaurant Magazine makes contact with CFE., re

- London Xtra Newspaper prints information about
conference
- Vernon Barrett of Business Link for London,
makes contact with CFE.
- CFE makes contact with Peter Richards of Westminister
Kingsway Hospitality College, who trained Jamie Oliver.
Peter has an interest in Caribbean Food, has helped host the Caribbean
Masterchef, and plans to start an NVQ in Caribbean Cuisine at the
college in September 2003.

- The Caribbean Food and Drink Conference takes place
at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington, London.
