Guava Jelly

Ingredients  
1 kg  ripe, firm Guavas
Sugar
2  litres water
lime juice
Preparation Method
  1. Wash guavas, remove stem at top, and cut them in half, then put them in a large pan with the water.  Cover and boil gently for 30 minutes.   
  2. Strain the juice through a large seive.
  3. Measure the juice into a pot, then for every cup of juice, add 1 cup of sugar.  Add the juice of 1 lime.
  4. Return the mixture to heat, and boil vigorously, stirring occasionally, until small bubbles begin to appear, and the jelly forms little balls when tested in cold water.
