Single
Regeneration Budget (SRB)
The Made in London Single Regeneration Budget (SRB)
scheme is a grant-aided series of projects aimed at bringing
a new level of support to manufacturing industry in London.
It is an independent partnership led by Made in London but
also including the London Borough of Enfield, Urban Futures
Ltd, the Thames Gateway London Partnership, the Park Royal
Partnership, the South London Partnership, Business Link
for London, Enfield Education Business Partnership and a
number of London local authorities and universities.
Grant
support comes from the Government via the London Development
Agency, set up by London Mayor Ken Livingstone as part of
the new structure of London government. The grant scheme
is part of the Single Regeneration Budget Challenge Fund.
The accountable body is the London Borough of Enfield. Some
£6.3m of grant will be matched by further private and public
funding to produce a total of £13m of funds over the scheme's
five-year lifetime.
The
SRB scheme aims to bring a wide range of support to local
manufacturers, from training to environmental improvement.
It will mainly focus on delivering support via estate and
sector support groups and engaging schools to improve the
image of manufacturing among young people.
