FREE GREEN advice for your business

Since November 2006, Global Action Plan has developed the SmartWorks programme which has helped over 200 small businesses in London reduce their environmental impact and save money. Through advice and support on energy efficiency, water use, waste management and travel choices, Advisors work with businesses to save thousands of pounds on energy and water charges and reduce waste sent to landfill.

Businesses with less than 250 employees (SMEs) are eligible to receive FREE support from a Business Advisor who would suggest simple actions so you can:

· Reduce running costs of your business -save money on charges for electricity, gas, waste, water, and increase your profits.
· Produce less waste, recycle more and reduce waste collection costs.
· Market your business to attract customers and clients who prefer to buy from a greener business.
· Become fit to supply and more competitive when tendering for work

SmartWorks is a LDA-funded project and the service is FREE to most small businesses in London. If you supply a large business, you may want to enquire about training for certification to British Standard on the environment (BS 8555).
