Caribbean Food and Drink Expo 04

The Caribbean Food and Drink Expo will be a culinary exposition of food and beverage created by chefs, cooks, restaurateurs, bakeries, or supplied by manufacturers and distributors.   It will allow attendees to experience tastings of delectable dishes classed as foods from the Caribbean. 


The event will comprise -

  • An exhibition of  companies from the Caribbean Food and Drink Sector. Food and drink from  exhibiting companies will be available for  sample and for sale.
  • Caribbean Cuisine demonstrations by Top Caribbean Chefs including: Rosamund Grant, Brian Benjamin, Reynold (Sam) Antoine and the Curryman.

 

  • Fine Dining Caribbean 3-course lunch to be prepared by Celebrity Caribbean Chefs.

  • An inter-island Caribbean Chef competition  hosted by Geoff Schumann
  • Seminars/Workshops covering Healthy Eating, Business Finance

Demonstrations/Hands-on Classes

The objective of the demonstrations and hands-on classes will be

To pass on traditional skills in Caribbean Cuisine

To encourage more people to train in skills for entry into the Hospitality and Catering industry

To encourage more people to start Caribbean Food Businesses in London

Inter-Island Chef Competition

Chef/Cook from  the Caribbean Restaurants or Take Aways, Caterers or from the general Caribbean Community compete for cash prizes.

Each Chef will have 60 minutes  to prepare a three course Caribbean meal.

Displays of prepared meals will be photographed and judged.
