2005 Cost: £78 (CCC Members) or £128 Overnight stay at hotel + Breakfast: £106 Breakfast only for early arrivals on 15th: £12.50 The Aims of the Caribbean Food and Drink Conference are:· To offer training to the industry in Marketing, Selling to Retailers, and Health and Safety regulations.· To offer an overview and impetus to the Caribbean Food and Drink Industry for a greater understanding of the challenges faced, and the opportunities available. To achieve a direct impact on the growth and competitiveness of the BME food sector in relation to higher levels of productivity, new product design, improved supply and distribution. To champion and showcase innovative methods to inspire growth. To facilitate networking between businesses involved in the Caribbean Food and Drink Industry. To provide opportunities for ongoing individual mentoring and support to individual businesses drawing on key identified successful businesses in the food sector from among the BME communities and relevant other businesses. · To promote dialogue between business support agencies and proprietors. To enable these businesses to increase their capacity by providing opportunities to directly interface with key sources of knowledge and expertise To enable prospective funders to understand the business.· To enable the established businesses to encourage, inspire and mentor others in the industry, and those new to the business. To provide new inspiration through direct peer examples about what innovation and creativity can achieve for these business by enabling interface with case studies and role models. To enable discussion and feedback around a new Food and Drink Strategy for the Notting Hill Carnival.· To recognise and provide a platform for excellence within the Caribbean Food and Drink Industry.
