2003 battle of the Caribbean Chefs.

- Caribbean Chef
Competition takes place on Sunday, 21st September 2003
during the Caribbean
Food and Drink Expo. Chef/Cook Entries
are welcomed from the Caribbean
Restaurants or Take Aways, Caterers
or from the general Caribbean Community.
Caribbean chefs who work in hotels, or the general food industry are
also welcomed. 9 will take part in the Chef competition during the
Caribbean food Expo. The
best 3 will go forward to the Caribbean Master Chef competition in Hotel
Olympia, Feb 2004. Prepare for
recognition and media interest, and offers of demonstration roles to the
best performing candidates.

- Caribbean
Chefs from around the UK will have 2 hours to prepare a 3-course
Caribbean Meal for two.

- Chefs will
provide the menu before the event.

- Chefs will
provide own ingredients, seasonings,
and knives.
- The budget
should not exceed: £20.
The
judging criteria will be based on methods, taste, combinations and presentation.
- There will be interviews and photography before
and after the competition starts.

event will be covered by ACTV.

- Chefs will be interviewed before the competition
starts. Prepared
meals will be displayed for public viewing.
