Chef Competition takes place:
21st
September 2003
During
the Caribbean Food and Drink Expo
Chef/Cook Entries will be welcome from the Caribbean Restaurants
or Take Aways, Caterers
or from the general Caribbean Community.
9 will be chosen to go take part in the Chef competition
during the Caribbean food Expo.
The best 3 will go forward to the Caribbean Master
Chef competition in Hotel Olympia, Feb 2004.
Prepare for recognition and media interest, and offers of
demonstration roles to the best performing candidates.
Each Chef will have 2 hours to prepare a two course Caribbean
meal.
During that 2 hours,
45 minutes will be taken as time in the demonstration
theatre.
15 minutes: setting up time
20 minutes demonstration time
10 minutes: clearing away time.
The chefs are allowed one assistant in the demonstration
theatre.
The other 1 hour and 15 minutes will be to complete the meal
and arrange a display.
Displays of prepared meals will be photographed and judged.

Applicants are open to chefs or cooks working in the Caribbean
Food Industry.
Application Forms are
to be sent out to all who enquire.
Chefs to apply by 20th
August, 2003
The 9 chosen chefs and 3 backups will
be invited to visit the college, in late August/early
September.
