You are invited to take part in, or to visit the 2003
Caribbean Cake Exhibition.
Saturday 6th December - Goldsmith College New Cross. 10am
-Midnight.
Well Placed are working with Youth Aid Lewisham with
organising event taking palce . They are keen to get support from the
community in a number of ways.
- Cake exhibition
during the day and even fundraising dinnner and cake dance event from
7.30pm.
- Youth Aid and
Well Placed are putting a community call and response now for the
following in order to help promote the event.
- Encouraging
individuals and groups to enter a cake for the event
- Keen to hear
from potential sponsorers - within the business community and
entrepeneurs who maybe interested in exhibiting.

about this event and pledge your support now. The event has been organised
in order to:
- Raise the profile of our rich heritage, confectionery,
baking, culinary skills
- Make links with other Black cake makers and cake events
across Nationally and beyond
- Events will also be part of the larger celebration of
Youth A.I.D. Lewisham's 30th year of operation.
- Promote aims of Youth A.I.D. (Advice, Information and
Development) Lewisham.
- Participation of young people in developing this
community heritage.
- Update and reprint Caribbean Black Cake book.
- Raise profile of Caribbean Cake making as a business
venture.
